WHAT DOES A VETERINARY TECHNICIAN DO?
On July, 2 2015 the Veterinary Technician profession was included in CCNL (National Collective Agreement). Unions and Confprofessioni signed technical support documentation about Veterinary technician profession, which defines tasks and responsibilities of this job.
TASKS
The role of a Veterinary Technician is to assist veterinarians during examinations and medical procedures. Working under the direction of a Veterinarian, Veterinary technicians support him providing help and making clients and patients feel comfortable. Welcoming clients, assisting in medical-surgical procedures and managing clinical and administrative documents are some of their main duties.
PROFESSIONAL STUDIES INCLUDED IN CCNL
On July, 2 2015 the Veterinary Technician profession was included in CCNL (National Collective Agreement). The document signed by Confprofessioni and Unions like Cgil, Cisl, and Uil describes Veterinary Technician’s role and tasks. National Collective Agreement’s aim is to regulate employment relationaships between employees and employers which are equal throughout the national territory.
